Journey to the West: Sun Wukong Refuses to Take the Usual Path

I transmigrated as Sun Wukong and was bound to a Reverse System. As long as I do things unconventionally, I can earn generous rewards.

After I was born, everyone thought I should go to Mount Lingtai Fangcun and apprentice myself to Patriarch Bodhi. Instead, I chose to play freely at Flower-Fruit Mountain, triggering the System and obtaining a spiritual eye that sees through illusions and an extraordinary movement technique that allows instant teleportation.

Everyone was waiting for me to cause Havoc in Heaven, but I had no interest in the Celestial Court.

For succeeding at another reversal, the System rewarded me with a marvelous book containing the secrets of heaven and earth, as well as an elixir that makes me immune to all poisons and extends my life.

The Tathagata had been ready to subdue me for causing Havoc in Heaven, but ended up waiting in vain. The Jade Emperor was left anxiously waiting, while the gods of Heaven complained after waiting five hundred years for their bit parts.

Meanwhile, armed with the abilities and treasures I gained by doing the opposite, I roam the Three Realms, rewrite the story of Journey to the West, and embark on a legend of my own.
