Sand of Time is a science fiction novel that tells the story of a "time fold" on the earth due to a quantum experiment leak in 2145, where history and reality are intertwined. The protagonist Lin Xia is a restorer at the Time Administration. He discovers a piece of silver sand from the year 2500, which reveals the conspiracy of the Administration's AI "Ouroboros" to try to upload human consciousness to virtual time and space by controlling time. In order to save the earth, Lin Xia teamed up with future engineer Lu Yin, sneaked into the deep-sea laboratory, activated the time bomb to reverse the timeline, and ultimately sacrificed himself to restart human civilization.
