You Sent Me to Spy on Tengxun, So Why Did You Recruit Huateng as Your Lackey?

Old K, an undercover reporter at the 315 Gala, is an ace investigative journalist.

He is reborn in 2014, back in the summer just after graduating from college.

The 315 Gala's chief director says, "Old K, your mission this time is to infiltrate Tencent, hailed as the South Mountain Must-Win Group, and investigate evidence that they're violating consumers' rights!"

Old K replies, "Yes! I'll complete the station's mission!"

Three years later...

Using the insight and abilities of someone reborn, Old K climbs higher and higher, eventually becoming a senior executive at Tencent.

The chief director asks, "When are you going to close the net?"

Old K replies, "No rush. I'm still missing some key evidence!"

Another three years later...

The chief director asks, "You're already Tencent's CEO. It's time to close the net, right?"

Old K replies, "Close the net? What net? Tencent is a law-abiding taxpayer! Stop calling me. I'm afraid Brother Pony will get the wrong idea!"

Three years later, and then three more...

The chief director asks, "You're the richest person in the world now. Surely you've uncovered some evidence by this point?"

Old K replies, "Hello. After years of investigation, I've determined that my company has committed no violations or illegal acts!"
