NBA: Max-Level Talent from the Start, Dominating the League

"Have you ever seen a rookie like this?" Scout A murmured, as if talking to himself or asking his old partner beside him. His voice held a faint, barely perceptible tremor.

On the tablet in his hands, footage from an inter-squad scrimmage at training camp played over and over.

On screen, the young man in practice gear moved with simplicity and efficiency. Every shot hit the basket with the precision of a guided missile, and every defensive play spread like an impenetrable net, leaving even his experienced teammates helpless.

Scout B said nothing. He quietly pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose, his eyes just as full of confusion and curiosity.

They both realized that this overlooked rookie seemed to possess a talent far beyond what was reasonable. What they didn't know was that this talent wasn't the result of hard work. He had been born with a "max-level account."
