Onmyoji: Song Yun, Spirit Tamer

Song Yun, a young man from the modern era, accidentally transmigrates to the Heian period and finds himself in the body of an apprentice onmyoji abandoned by his family. Thus begins his journey into the mysterious world of onmyoji.

In an age when humans, ghosts, and yokai live side by side, Song Yun relies on his unique talent for sensing spiritual energy and his iron will to embark on a grueling path of cultivation. He learns spirit-summoning techniques, forging contracts with shikigami to fight alongside them; masters spiritual formations, drawing on the energy of heaven and earth to defeat his enemies; and studies yin-yang spells to drive out evil and protect the peace. From a novice who has just awakened his spiritual powers, he overcomes countless trials and gradually rises to become a Spirit Commander, a Spirit Venerable, and eventually someone on the verge of becoming a Spirit Saint.

Along the way, he befriends Hachibyoe and Minamoto no Hiromasa, while engaging in desperate battles against powerful yokai like Tamamo-no-Mae, who seeks to overturn the order of yin and yang. As his investigation deepens, he discovers that the secret behind his transmigration is tied to a war between onmyoji and great yokai a thousand years ago, and that he is the key to solving the mystery and saving the Heian period. Follow Song Yun as he writes his own legend in this world where yin and yang intertwine, earns the title of a great onmyoji, and searches for a way home and the truth about the world.
