A Rookie Lawyer Sends a Judge to Prison from the Start

Jiang Chen transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes a rookie lawyer who livestreams legal education. His first case is an appeal in a second trial: an elderly man in his seventies sold a nationally protected second-class parrot and was reported by the forestry bureau. Faced with a mountain of evidence, the man confesses and is sent to prison. His daughter refuses to accept the verdict and files an appeal for a retrial.

What a disastrous start. Jiang Chen's vision goes black.

Fortunately, he activates the Legal Reasoning System. He immediately runs through eight possible ways to argue for an acquittal, finally finding the one sure way to win...

At the second trial:

Old Man: Your Honor! I confess!

Jiang Chen: Objection! The defendant is innocent! Plaintiff, you're guilty!

Plaintiff: Me?

Jiang Chen: Plaintiff's lawyer, you're guilty too!

Plaintiff's Lawyer: Huh?

Jiang Chen: Judge, you are guilty beyond all measure!

Judge: What the...?

The jurors watching from the gallery tremble: We're not guilty too, are we?
