I'm a Modern Matchmaker, and from the Start I Match Daiyu with Wukong

In the Divine Continent, the gods of Heaven have been forbidden from taking physical form in China for a thousand years. One by one, they descended into the cycle of reincarnation, awaiting the chance to shed their karmic burdens and save all living beings.

Now, with the thousand-year term nearly over, demons, demonfolk, and demon gods are all stirring. But who could have guessed that young people in China would refuse to marry or have children, leaving the gods with no hope of returning?

Wei Ping'an, cursed by a god, holds the red thread of fate in one hand and the Book of Matchmaking in the other. He becomes the stand-in for the current God of Marriage.

A demon-binding rope, a book that takes lives, and a god's curse. Think outside the box: sometimes things are far more useful when you don't follow the instructions.

Wei Ping'an: Great Sage, Miss Lin, I think the two of you are made for each other. Why not get married and hurry up? Let's start by bringing the Ziwei Emperor into the world!

Sun Wukong: Nonsense! I am Sun Wukong, the Victorious Fighting Buddha. How could I marry a... Tsk, tsk, tsk. That's no ordinary young lady, she's clearly a goddess!
