Hong Kong Action Films: From Undercover Cop to Crime Boss

Huo Wenjun transmigrates into the world of Hong Kong crime films and becomes an undercover cop assigned by the police force to infiltrate the Wo Shing Wo.

What future could a street thug possibly have?

An undercover cop has even less to look forward to: at best, he can go back and become a police sergeant.

Besides, you can never wipe out the gangs for good.

Huo Wenjun doesn't want to fight. He just wants to make money and chase women.

But in the underworld, you don't get to choose your own path.

There's always someone trying to stop him from making an honest living.

Can't be helped:

"Kwun, you've got too much pent-up heat. Go swim a few laps in the sea and cool off."

"Lok, what era are we in, and you're still fishing? How about trying this motor?"

"Chan Ho Nam? A gangster who never uses his brain will be a gangster for life."

"Han Chen? You betrayed your friends, sold them out, turned against your own, and framed others. You deserved to get what was coming to you!"

"Lee Ting On? It's time we settled the score for your family selling opium in Hong Kong."

"Lee Ka-shing? Hong Kong is a democratic society. You're the people, and I'm the master."

"Gambling King Ho, if you can't handle your daughter, I'll help you."

"Guzman, I hear you're the world's most wanted man. I don't like anyone ranking above me."

Starting in the 1980s, a new order took hold in Hong Kong.
