Hong Kong Films: You Were Supposed to Be a Cop, So How Did You Become the Top Boss?

Reborn into a world that combines Hong Kong films.

Lu Jun becomes a uniformed patrol officer who has only just taken up his post.

Who could have guessed...

The moment his memories of his past life return, he gets caught up in a street assassination attempt. The target is none other than Lei Luo, the chief Chinese detective known as the "Five Hundred Million Detective"!

With death staring him in the face, his golden finger arrives!

Lu Jun takes on the assassins alone and earns Lei Luo's admiration. From that day on, he begins his rise in Hong Kong!

When the British establish the ICAC, hoping to divide Hong Kong's Chinese community,

Lu Jun turns the tables outright: "Who says weapons can't replace criticism? The ICAC must undergo political vetting!"

When the triads commit crimes and disrupt public order in Hong Kong,

Lu Jun summons the leaders of the major gangs: "Starting today, all of Hong Kong is under a state of severe punishment. Every crime carries three times the penalty. Catch them, and shoot them on the spot!"

When British capitalists try to short Hong Kong's stock market,

Lu Jun seeks out several patriotic entrepreneurs: "This is a financial war. You can form an organization modeled on the land reform movement back home. Why not call it the Landlords' Association?"

Starting businesses, suppressing gangs, taking on the foreigners, and welcoming the return to China, Lu Jun steadily becomes the most influential big shot in Hong Kong!
