Journey to the West: You Were Told to Fetch the Scriptures, So Why Are You Marrying the Queen of the Women's Kingdom?

After a hundred cycles of reincarnation, Jiang Liu awakens to his destiny and discovers that in this life, he has become Tang Sanzang, the Pilgrim.

Just then, the pilgrimage team is passing through the Kingdom of Women. Sun Wukong tricks Tang Sanzang into marrying the queen, intending to use a fake marriage to escape their predicament.

Jiang Liu immediately agrees, and the fake marriage becomes real!

Sun Wukong: Why did the old monk actually get married?

Before long, Sun Wukong realizes that his master has changed.

Jiang Liu: The ground beneath Spirit Mountain is strewn with corpses, while the people of the Great Tang live in peace. What use is this pilgrimage?

Rather than journeying for scriptures to save all living beings, why not reshape the world and bring them prosperity?

I want everyone under heaven to become dragons!

And so Jiang Liu begins spreading the new idea that everyone is born equal. He strikes at the terrifying powers led by the Lion Camel Kingdom and stops Buddhism from growing ever stronger.

He proclaims that everyone can become an immortal, everyone should be an immortal, and immortals should serve everyone.

He establishes a great faith, earns merit, and accumulates fortune! Before long, the human realm is swept by upheaval, and red banners roll across the land!

Years later, the Three Realms descend into chaos.

The Buddha: I told you to fetch the scriptures. Who told you to undermine the foundations of Buddhism?

The Jade Emperor: Tathagata! This is the Pilgrim you chose?
