Livestream: Exposing Western Public Intellectuals

Bai Xingchen is reborn in a parallel world much like his own.

Things here have developed much as they did in his old world, but there's one key difference: there are still plenty of self-proclaimed public intellectuals around in this era.

Every day, the internet is flooded with their opinions.

The West has better democracy. The West has more freedom. Wages are higher in the West.

The West has better healthcare. Traditional Chinese medicine is just superstition.

The public intellectuals say:

"Traditional Chinese medicine isn't even scientific, and it should disappear from this world!!"

"Western medicine is the only real science. At best, traditional Chinese medicine is theology!!!"

"If traditional Chinese medicine can really cure people, why did so many emperors in Xia die before the age of thirty?"

Bai Xingchen says:

"Traditional Chinese medicine cured paralysis."

"It stabilized late-stage stomach cancer, giving the patient ten more years to live."

The public intellectuals say:

"No, that's impossible. You must have paid that person to pretend."

"Traditional Chinese medicine is a scam. How could it cure paralysis or stabilize stomach cancer?"
