The Pillar of the Republic of China at Whampoa

Su Chen was reborn in the Republic of China era as the only son of Su Zhenghua, a veteran member of the Tongmenghui. After taking part in the Northern Expedition, Su Chen became chairman of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, building industry, developing the economy, and improving people's livelihoods and education.

It was only during the war against foreign powers that the warlords back home suddenly realized a colossus had risen in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang region.

After the war, Su Chen successfully won election as acting president and launched sweeping reforms from the top down.
