Hou Liangping set his sights on Yu Xin, a county Party committee secretary in Hongguang County, Jingzhou City. But his investigation into Yu Xin's case ended in a disastrous defeat. Enraged, Hou Liangping decided to investigate three generations of Yu Xin's family in the name of family values!

He never expected to discover that Yu Xin's grandfather, Yu Bei, was actually a major traitor!

Overjoyed, Hou Liangping continued digging!

But the more he investigated, the more he realized there was another side to the story!

Yu Bei had actually been one of our top secret agents!

During the War of Resistance Against Japan, under the codename "Red Star," he infiltrated the upper echelons of Manchukuo and supplied a wealth of top-secret intelligence to the Japanese!

During the War of Liberation, under the codename "Kite," he infiltrated the Kuomintang's Bureau of Investigation and Statistics, became sworn brothers with Dai Li, and secretly passed along intelligence that directly helped secure victory in the Three Great Campaigns. Later, after some documents were lost, he had no choice but to drift to Taiwan!

Hou Liangping: "He got his hands on the blood of our martyrs. How is that not treason?!"

A martyr's family: "The leaders came to see us and told us that the people who sent Grandpa off were our comrades. We don't blame him!"

Yu Bei: "My whole life is stained with infamy. I dare not look toward the land of my ancestors."
