I Asked You to Write About Perseverance, So Why Did You Write Venerable Love?

Hu Ran wakes up to find himself in a parallel world, competing in a literary talent contest.

Who am I? Where am I?

Why is Yu the Host the presenter, while Chen Ze and Li Yunlong are sitting on the judging panel together?

When they're told to write an essay about perseverance,

everyone writes the same tired stories about how perseverance leads to victory, or how perseverance taught them something...

Hu Ran gets a flash of inspiration and pulls off a brilliant stunt.

The man who wandered for three hundred years and ruled the world for two hundred. That's the one!

At first, people think it's a heartwarming little story about a boy who faces setbacks, never gives up, and improves his life in old age.

"All immortals retreat from the River of Reversal, yet love cannot withstand the tears of perseverance!"

"Fate is set, and defeat is written in the stars. The Venerable Immortal regrets it, but I have no regrets!"

"Those five hundred years were nothing but a little wind and frost!"

When the audience sees Great Love Immortal Venerable making teddy bear cookies in Hu Ran's story, they are dumbfounded.

"You'd destroy the world to live forever, and you call that perseverance?"

"We told you to write about perseverance. What is this about becoming family inside the Ten Thousand Souls Banner?"
