I'm the People's Shield. Hou Liangping, You Dare Investigate Me?

After transmigrating into the world of film and television, Qi Tongwei awakens the Divine Merit System. After ten years of hard work, he finally becomes the Director of the Public Security Department, Vice Governor of the Provincial Party Committee, and the true power behind the throne in Handong.

Just as Qi Tongwei is preparing to push through sweeping reforms, Hou Liangping suddenly shows up.

"Qi Tongwei, our investigation shows that you own shares in Shanshui Group. You're suspected of trading power for money and sex, and of protecting the group. You're coming with us!"

Hou Liangping thinks he has merely arrested a corrupt official and dismantled an interest group. He never expects that he has struck at the very foundation of the lives of the people of Handong, plunging the entire province into chaos.

Sha Ruijin: "Hou Liangping acted on his own. This has nothing to do with me!"

Gao Yuliang: "Qi Tongwei has been shouldering all of Handong. How could Hou Liangping dare do this?"

Zhong Zhengguo: "Xiao Ai, divorce Hou Liangping. Otherwise, he'll drag our Zhong family down with him this time!"

Hou Liangping: "Qi Tongwei, I thought you were Shanshui Group's protector. I never realized you were the people's protector. If I'd known, I wouldn't have investigated you!"
