I, the Reincarnation of Hai Rui, Take on Li Dakang from the Start

Hai Rui is reborn into the world of In the Name of the People as Zhou Bang.

He leads a team to Handong Province to investigate corruption.

Hou Liangping: We should start with Zhao Dehan.

Qi Tongwei: Is that because Zhao Dehan has no connections?

Zhou Bang: If we're going to investigate, we should start with Ding Yizhen.

Once Zhou Bang has gathered enough evidence, he bypasses the Handong Provincial Committee and arrests Ding Yizhen.

Sha Ruijin is stunned.

Li Dakang is furious.

Li Dakang: Zhou Bang, who gave you the nerve to arrest a department-level official without reporting to the provincial committee?

Zhou Bang: I'm with the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. I don't need to report to the provincial committee.

Zhou Bang: Ding Yizhen, who told you to sell off the land in Guangming District? Answer clearly!

Ding Yizhen panics, and more and more people are implicated.

Li Dakang, Zhao Lichun...

Zhou Bang: It's on the record!

Sha Ruijin: Zhou Bang, what exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to tear the sky open?

Zhou Bang: Secretary Sha, what do you mean by that? I'm just investigating corruption. Those who abuse their high positions to enrich themselves are vermin, and of course I should help the country root them out.
