Can Winning First Place in the Physics Olympiad Get You into a Bachelor's Program?

The Goldbach Conjecture? Easy!

Jiang Yuan stared at the final question on the exam paper, which asked him to prove the Goldbach Conjecture, and fell into deep thought. Judging from past experience, the competition committee would never set a problem this difficult. But this year, they had invited Ian Charles Stewart to advise them, so it was understandable that they might include a question beyond the syllabus.

Jiang Yuan: It's just the Goldbach Conjecture! I might as well finish the proof I started at home!

Not long afterward, the competition ended. A crowd of reporters surrounded the committee's secretary-general.

Reporter from the United States: Mr. Secretary-General, what do you think about a Chinese contestant winning the competition again?

Reporter from Longguo: Mr. Secretary-General, there's a rumor that someone solved a world-class problem during this competition. Is it true?
