Fall of Humanity

This is the story of several passengers aboard a Boeing 737-800 flight from Xi'an to Island City, based on their own experiences. The passengers, all different and each preoccupied with their own concerns, sat in their seats, unaware of the danger about to descend. Shortly before boarding, Sima Zhongfu had been struck by lightning and gained a "supernatural ability." It was as if he had gained x-ray vision, allowing him to observe the joys and sorrows of every passenger. The secret histories of dozens of travelers unfolded before his eyes, revealing the ups and downs of officialdom, the fickleness of human nature, and the many faces of life, like a twenty-first-century exposé of the political world. As they neared Island City, a sudden thunderstorm erupted over the airport. The plane circled in the turbulence, searching for a chance to make an emergency landing. Chaos broke out in the cabin. Yet when the plane finally landed safely, a plainclothes police officer slapped handcuffs on Sima Zhongfu...
