Honghuang: Defying Fate, Even a Mayfly Can Shake the Heavens

The Great Dao is uncaring, Heaven's will is unpredictable. Life and death turn in cycles, and all things are alike.

Born as a mayfly, I gaze up at the azure sky.

Xuantian was a primordial divine being, born when the entire mayfly race sacrificed itself to create him. He was born with a mission, burdened by a great karmic debt. He had to transform heaven and earth and change its laws, so that the mayfly race would no longer be condemned to live only from dawn to dusk.

During the Witch-Demon Tribulation, Xuantian carried out one scheme after another. First, he helped Houtu establish the Underworld. Then he aided humanity and secured its fortune. When Heaven was mended, he saved all living beings, gathering fortune and merit upon himself.

Humanity became the overlord of heaven and earth. He taught the Human Emperors, helped them distinguish the myriad spirits, and resolved calamities.

He took the Dragon Clan under his wing, taught Kong Xuan to break through the Five Elements, helped the Three Xiao sisters cultivate, and established a Daoist sanctuary on Penglai.

During the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation, he turned clouds into rain with a flip of his hand. As heaven and earth shattered, he forged the primordial world anew!

Who says a mayfly can only be weak? A mayfly, too, can shake the azure sky.
