I was born in the 1980s in a remote village in Minqin County, Gansu Province. Due to the strong wind and sand all year round, the climate is relatively dry and there is a lack of water all year round. Although the geographical conditions are harsh, the people here are simple and hard-working, giving birth to sweet and delicious Yellow River honeydew melons, fresh and juicy raw fruits, and batches of college students. My childhood was spent in this land. I was born, grew up and studied here. Until I left home at the age of 20.
