Wherever I Go, I’m Taking the Civil Service Exam

A minor civil servant at a government agency in the modern era dies from overwork after seven years on the job, only to transmigrate into the body of Teng Zijing, the fifth young master of the Teng family. The protagonist has no golden finger and cannot cheat his way to success. He witnesses the true meaning of history's phrase "man eating man": ordinary people struggling to survive, impoverished scholars with no way to serve their country, and officials scheming and tearing one another down. Should he watch coldly from the sidelines, or spill blood for the land? Of all the world's hardships, being human is the hardest.
