I Asked You to Write an Inspirational Story, and You Wrote About Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty?

Lin Yu transmigrates to a live screenwriting competition in a parallel world.

As one of the contestants, he has to write a script based on a prompt from the judges.

The first prompt: Inspirational.

While everyone else is writing the usual templates about Director Qi and Boss Lei or Boss Ma,

Lin Yu’s line, "It starts with a bowl, and ends with the founding of the Ming Empire," shocks the whole venue.

When he gets to the founding of the Ming dynasty and the Hongwu era name, the show reaches its climax...

For the prompt "Ambitious Hero," he writes the Yongle Emperor: "In the past five hundred years, I wonder if anyone else has made it this far."

For the prompt "Regret," he writes the Chongzhen Emperor: "I wanted to be the ruler who restored the dynasty, but instead I became the emperor who lost it..."

For the prompt "Disaster," he writes the Ming dynasty’s legendary blunderer...

With the sixteen Ming emperors at his disposal, he can write any genre you ask for!

Audience: "Wait, man! Can you write anything besides the Ming dynasty?"

Judges: "Think of a prompt. We have to find one that really stumps him!"
