Siheyuan: The Wonderful Life of the 1960s

A TV drama mash-up: The Courtyard, Under the Zhengyang Gate, Blood-Colored Romance, The Iron Man, and Steel Rice Bowl

In a bustling city lived an ordinary, unremarkable middle-aged man named Li Xiaohai. After a night of heavy drinking, Li Xiaohai fell into a deep sleep. When he woke, he found himself in a world both unfamiliar and familiar: old Beijing in the 1960s.

Life in the courtyard homes of that era was simple and unassuming. Beneath the Zhengyang Gate, people bustled about, while the blood-red evening sun cast a singular charm over it all. Here, the iron will to live through hardship was at its finest. Li Xiaohai realized that he had transmigrated to the past.
