Modern man Ye Xiu transmigrates to the Great Qian dynasty and becomes the most powerful official's third-generation descendant. But when his family suddenly falls into decline, he decides to set out on the path of making his father a dragon. Through a series of efforts, Ye Xiu earns his father the respect of the scholarly world, helps him place first in the imperial examinations, sweeps away corrupt ministers and their cronies, and makes the powerful clans tremble in fear. In the end, when his father reaches the very highest position in the court, Ye Xiu takes advantage of the cooling weather and quietly drapes a yellow robe over his old man, making his father fly into a rage.
