Siheyuan: On Day One in the Madhouse, I Beat Yi Zhonghai

On the first day after Zhang Yicheng transmigrated to a 1960 courtyard house in the novel Beast-Filled Courtyard, he became a public enemy whom everyone cursed.

Only then did Zhang Yicheng learn that Yi Zhonghai had pocketed his father's compensation money, He Yuzhu had spread rumors that he was a thief, Jia Zhangshi had taken his supplies, and the Deaf Old Lady had guilt-tripped him. His reputation was already in tatters, so Zhang Yicheng decided to pay back every grievance.

From the start, he went all in on being the villain: he beat up Silly Zhu, slapped Jia Zhangshi, and forced Yi Zhonghai to kneel and apologize. After making him hand over his father's compensation money, Zhang Yicheng schemed to get Yi Zhonghai denounced across the entire factory, tormenting him until Yi Zhonghai finally chose to hang himself.

As Zhang Yicheng's reputation improved, the courtyard's assorted villains became public enemies whom everyone cursed.
