A Grade-Schooler Takes the Whole Village to a Spirit Parade Over Winter Break and Sets the Internet Ablaze

The New Year atmosphere feels weaker with each passing year.

To help everyone get into the holiday spirit,

CCTV creates a livestream documentary following elementary school students as they celebrate the New Year.

Jiang Han transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes an eight-year-old elementary school student.

CCTV documents his entire winter vacation.

Everyone assumes an elementary school student's winter break means homework, video games, and cram school.

[Ugh, what a boring winter break.]

[I thought kids would find winter break fun, but this isn't what I expected.]

Just as everyone starts to find the students' lives dull,

one elementary school student named Jiang Han leads the entire village in a New Year parade for the gods!

[Wow, so the New Year procession for the gods is this much fun! The whole village joins in. What a lively event!]

[Drums and gongs roaring, crowds as far as the eye can see. I've never seen such a lively folk celebration.]

[An elementary school kid leading the whole village in the procession? He's crushing it!]

[The Yingge dance, walking over fire, all those activities have me fired up. I want to join the procession too!]
