Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio: Picking Up the Book Immortal Yan Ruyu from the Start

One day, while bookworm Feng Qingyu was reading in his study, an immortal maiden named Yan Ruyu stepped out of a book, and the two began living together.

It was a time when demons were rising everywhere and wreaking havoc among mortals.

The book immortal Yan Ruyu also came with a magical book of heavenly lore that could capture demons. The demons inside could even be summoned to help in battle.

Years later, as he opened the book and browsed its pages of beguiling illustrations of ghosts and monsters, Qingyu declared, "Turns out hunting demons is much more fun than reading!"

Feng Qingyu's experiences tie together one Strange Tales adventure after another.
