The Forbidden Zone

In 2057, an unknown void descends upon Earth. It expands at an incredible speed, devouring everything around it and reducing all things to nothingness.

After the void disappears, it leaves behind an unknown crystal. The crystal corrupts everything nearby, turning humans, animals, and plants into terrifying monsters.

At the same time, the corrupted space in the region becomes uninhabitable for humans. Anyone who stays there for just a few dozen minutes will contract an incurable disease or transform into a monstrous aberration.

The region is named the Critical Exclusion Zone.
