Coming Home to the Village for New Year, I Spoil Dilraba and Make Yang Mi Cry

Su Chen transmigrates to a parallel world, where he gets one traditional intangible cultural heritage skill each day through sign-in.

Just then, Yang Mi and Dilraba are taking part in the show A Taste of New Year in My Memories, and end up staying at his home to celebrate the New Year together.

Dilraba is cute and playful, so of course he spoils her. Yang Mi wears a sour face all day, so naturally he gives her a hard time.

Yang Mi puts up with his attitude.

But everyone else is out shopping at the market, making offerings to the Kitchen God, slaughtering chickens, and dancing the yangko. It's all so lively.

Su Chen, though, shops for New Year goods at convenience stores or Pinduoduo, all about the convenience and speed of modern life.

Yang Mi gets annoyed: I want a traditional Chinese New Year!

Su Chen: Want traditional? There's nothing I can't do, as long as you're willing to pay extra.

Candied melons, feather dusters, blowing up pig bladders, tofu banquets, woodblock prints...

When one traditional intangible cultural heritage skill after another appears in Yang Mi's livestream, the whole internet goes wild.

Yang Mi: "Why do you only spoil Dilraba?"

Su Chen: "As long as you pay enough, I wouldn't just spoil you. I'd even marry you on the spot."

Yang Mi: "Then I want a traditional Chinese wedding."

Dilraba: Sister Mi, that's not playing fair! Su Chen is mine!
