From the Start, I Was Fishing for Lawbreakers at Fengdu's Gates

A new book by a new author.

On the seventh day of the seventh month, outside the gates of Fengdu, newly appointed ferryman Wang Mingyang came up with a desperate way to improve his performance: setting out offerings and using them as bait to catch souls in the act.

Unfortunately, the first ones he ran into were the Black and White Impermanence, out on patrol.

As punishment, he was sent to guard the black market in the human world and investigate where the souls who had failed to enter reincarnation on time had gone.

That was how he discovered that the human world had a hidden Sixth Path. When he was discovered, he was hunted down and forced to flee.

The Four Ghost Emperors, the Five Elements Immortals of the Human Realm, and all kinds of strange tales and secret histories await within.
