The Fugitive God

After a divine war a hundred years ago, the Vitas, followers of the Moon Goddess, were cursed by the God of Light and trapped forever beneath the demon-root forest, where no sunlight could reach them. With a Thorn Fruit obtained through his own cleverness, protagonist Xing Quge escaped this dark land, only to find that the new world awaiting him was full of strange and sinister secrets. With help from a winery owner of unknown identity and a corpse walker, Xing Quge inadvertently enters the Theological Academy in the holy city of Tasi. His meager divine power and suspicious identity stir up trouble in campus life. Forced to investigate cases at the behest of the Scarlet Palace's inspector, Xing Quge is inexplicably drawn into a tug-of-war between the Divine Society and the academy. As events unfold, his teammates, once aligned with different factions, gradually cast off their simple labels and take sides, setting themselves against one another. The forces behind the academy also come to light, while a dark power rapidly seeps in from the shadows. As Xing Quge delves deeper into the case, the truth behind the divine war of long ago emerges: he is not only a fugitive, but also a god who has lost his divinity. Will he become fully human, or become a god once more?
