You Were Asked to Film a Romance Drama, but You Made Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Su Leng transmigrated to a parallel world where Japan had fallen, and found himself competing onstage with a group of acclaimed directors during a live variety show for a directing competition!

The first filming theme was idol anime.

The famous directors all began filming the same old sweet and tragic love stories, from historical idol dramas to modern ones.

Su Leng decided to try something new. An idol anime? Isn't that just handsome men and beautiful women falling in love?

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End sounds good.

Netizens were baffled. Was that really the title of an idol anime?

But when Frieren finally aired, the audience was all "healed"!

"Let's go watch the half-century meteor shower again."

"I knew human lives were incredibly short, so why didn't I think to... get to know him better?"

"Frieren, do it!"

"We're not a fairy tale. We really exist."

"The Chinese meaning of the Mirror Lotus is eternal love."
