War of Resistance: A Lucky Start, and I Pick Up a German-Equipped Division

Su Chen transmigrated into the War of Resistance era and became a platoon leader in the New First Regiment.

The Battle of Cangyun Ridge broke out, and dozens of artillery shells came raining down. Su Chen got to experience firsthand what it meant to light a cigarette with an artillery shell.

After figuring out the crater-survival rule, he picked up a wounded soldier. And wouldn't you know it, it was Zhuzi?

He led his men in a breakout and stumbled upon a fight between the Japanese and the Nationalist army. He got a whole German-equipped division's gear for free?

He thought that would be the pinnacle of his life, but after the Battle of Cangyun Ridge, headquarters ordered Li Yunlong to swear an oath: develop the New First Regiment into an augmented regiment within three months.

The regiment split into small units, each developing independently.

But the rookie soldiers were "Wolf Warriors". One trip to Taiyuan, and they came back with a military radio.

Three months later, the whole regiment assembled.

First Battalion Commander Zhang Dabiao: My battalion has just over a thousand men, and only five machine guns, light and heavy combined.

Second Battalion Commander Shen Quan: My battalion has just over eight hundred men and one Italian cannon.

Just as everyone was introducing their units, a German-equipped division appeared before them.

A tank battalion, a heavy and light artillery regiment, a cavalry regiment, special forces...

Su Chen said: You won't believe this, but I picked up a German-equipped division.
