Your Majesty, I Really Am Just Working Part-Time

In the State of Yan, a group of imperial guards in green suddenly arrived at Nanshan Academy and dragged Ji Yi away.

In the hall, the commander asked, "Ji Yi, where have you been and what have you been doing during the academy's holidays these past few years? Confess everything!"

Ji Yi replied, "My lord, your humble servant's family was poor, so I took a few odd jobs..."

A black-armored general beside him couldn't take it anymore. He slammed the table and said coldly, "You went all the way to Dongyi to find work?"

Ji Yi replied, "The pay was a little better there."

"Did you kill the chancellor and his wife of Dongyi?"

"Yes."

"How did you get away?"

"I took the chancellor's carriage."

"What?"

"It's true. His son-in-law even drove the carriage himself."

"Did you also kill the number one swordsman of the Southern Frontier?"

"Yes."

"Why did you kill him?"

"He wouldn't pay up."

"Ji Yi, the neglected Second Prince of Chu, I hear you'll take any side job?"

"Your Highness, as long as you can afford the price."

"What about helping me conquer the realm?"

"I can do that, but it'll cost extra."

"Your Majesty, it's time to pay."

"And what if I refuse?"

"You have two choices. First, this humble servant observes that the Empress Dowager and Empress are still quite charming... Second, death."
