You Asked Me to Write About an Opera Singer, but I Wrote Farewell My Concubine on the Spot?

Su Chen had just transmigrated to a parallel world when he discovered he was taking part in a movie scriptwriting competition.

Contestants would write stories based on prompts chosen by the competition committee.

The prompt for the upcoming round was: Actors.

Su Chen, a film buff in his previous life, instantly pictured Cheng Dieyi and Duan Xiaolou in his mind.

So he resolutely typed Farewell My Concubine!

After watching it, the audience and judges went completely wild! They were all emotionally shattered and demanded an immediate release!

"The king's spirit is spent. What reason has this lowly concubine to go on living?"

"One smile, and spring lasts for all eternity. One cry, and sorrow lasts for all eternity!"

"The human world is nothing but a face wiped clean of rouge!"

"Peerless elegance!!!"

Then, when the committee gave him the prompt "County Town," Su Chen wrote Let the Bullets Fly.

For the prompt "Good Person," he wrote Infernal Affairs.

For another prompt… he wrote Léon: The Professional.

Audience: "Su Chen, are you even human?"
