Those Village Beauty Tales

This novel is narrated in the first person by me, Ling Sifang. It tells the story of Ling Liping, the village beauty from my hometown in the countryside of southeastern Shandong, who is gifted in the arts. Set around the 1980s and in the years that follow, it follows her life and career as she moves from the countryside to the city, as well as her romance with me. The writing is delicate and sincere, deeply moving, humorous, and full of charm. Stories about other village beauties are woven throughout, making the whole tale even more colorful and captivating.
