Traditional Chinese Medicine: I'm Really Not the Medicine God

Ye Simiao, director of the emergency department at Union Hospital in the imperial capital, collapsed after successfully performing six surgeries in a row. When he woke up, he discovered he had transmigrated to a parallel world.

Ye Simiao never would have dreamed that this world had no traditional Chinese medicine.

Traditional Chinese medicine treats illness through inspection, listening and smelling, inquiry, and palpation.

Here, treating an illness means paying fees, getting lab tests, CT scans, and MRIs.

A cold with a minor case of bronchitis calls for hospitalization and surgery, and the patient is a baby who just turned one month old.

For an age-old problem like insomnia, the usual solution is to increase the dosage if one sleeping pill doesn't work.

For a minor fracture, the hospital immediately admits the patient for observation, fixes the bone with a splint, inserts metal pins, and applies a cast. After three months of being out of action, the cast is removed, and a year later, the patient has to come back to have the pins taken out.

Ye Simiao couldn't believe it. Why make such a simple matter so complicated when a single bone-setting treatment would do the trick? This was absurd! Even Wangcai would shake his head if he heard all this!

Then, the System activated, and he set out to make traditional Chinese medicine famous!
