Self-Rescue: Starting with a Vampire

A survival story.

Three hundred days after the Great Pollution, global mutations quietly began.

Vampires, gargoyles, Tokyo ghouls, liches, ruthless werewolves, and dark druids were everywhere.

Midnight became deadly, and people kept going missing.

Deep in a dark city alley, an office worker on his way home was suddenly stopped by a man. A hint of alluring fragrance wafted over, and in his daze, he offered up his neck. Just as the fangs were about to sink in, a rusty kitchen knife suddenly came flying.

With a hiss, a sunny young man dragged the vampire back with him.

Inside the house, the vampire was bound hand and foot on the dining table.

The young man beside him produced knives, forks, axes, electric drills, and firecrackers to put him at ease.

"What's one hundred minus zero? Answer correctly and you'll get a reward."

"Ten!"

"Correct! Your reward is having your little buddy removed. You don't mind, do you? No worries, I don't mind either."

The vampire's heart-wrenching screams could not even escape his throat. The vampire who had terrorized the city shed tears of humiliation and agony.
