Great Ming: From the Start, I Teach Old Zhu the Art of Ruling in My Private School

After transmigrating to the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty, Ji Bochang becomes a humble schoolteacher in Paifang Village, outside Yingtian City.

By chance, a wealthy father and son surnamed Zhu, both far older than the usual students, squeeze into his classroom and start asking all sorts of questions.

"Teacher, how can we increase crop yields so the people can eat their fill and stay warm?"

"Teacher, are the countries overseas really so prosperous? Is the earth truly round?"

"Teacher, what is an assault rifle? What does it look like? Can it really take someone's life from three hundred paces away?"

Han Yu of the Tang Dynasty once said, "A teacher imparts the Way, teaches knowledge, and resolves doubts."

After stuffing the banknotes Old Zhu handed him into his robe, Ji Bochang waved a hand grandly. As a teacher, how could he possibly hold anything back from his students?

"Wait, Old Zhu, what did you say your name was?"

"Teacher, I'm Zhu Yuanzhang..."
