Past and Present in the Mirror: A Time Traveler's Legend

In an unremarkable city apartment, Jack gazes through the window at the flickering neon lights. Each light seems to tell of the busy, mechanical pace of modern life. Jack is a history teacher, and deep in his heart he has always yearned for the ancient world. Though he lives in an age filled with modern technology, his thoughts always drift to the past, to an era teeming with heroes and rich in stories.

His living room is filled with antiques and replicas he has collected, from Roman short swords to Chinese bronzeware, each carrying the weight of history. But among these treasures, one object stands out: an ancient bronze mirror, its surface covered in mysterious patterns and mottled with the marks of time. Jack came across it by chance at an antiques market, drawn to its unusual gleam. He always felt that there was something extraordinary about the mirror, but he never imagined it would take him to a completely different world.
