Feathers on Chalk

Bai Yu is a modern man from the year 2000 who has been deeply interested in the books of the ancient Daoist sages since childhood. Like any ordinary office worker, he works nine to six. But during a vacation in Chang'an, he enters an ancient tomb hidden deep in a mountain range stretching from north to south, exposed by the tides. Influenced by the tomb inscription and fragments of Daoist scriptures from the Warring States period, copied by ancient Daoist sages during the first three dynasties, he begins to suspect that the world may not be as ordinary people understand it.

Strangely, just hours after news of the tomb appears on social media, the internet goes down and communication becomes impossible. By the time he emerges from the tomb, a month has passed. A week later, social media servers crash, and the matter is quietly buried under the excuse that a fire destroyed the database facility. Unlike the conspiracy theorists, those who were there have a very different view. The government air-dropped the Third Armed Force overnight from the Gobi Desert deep in the Great Northwest. The truth may turn the world upside down.
