Arms Dealing in Those Days: It Begins with the Iran-Iraq War

Lu Xuan was reborn in the 1980s as a department chief at the Foreign Trade Bureau of the General Armament Department.

That year, the Iran-Iraq War was raging.

From the start, Lu Xuan sold weapons to both sides, leaving them stunned.

A 336 rocket launcher with a range of 200 kilometers? Are you sure that's not a missile?

The 107 rocket launcher has more firepower than a Katyusha, and it can hit tanks and planes too?

That year, the Saudi camel merchants felt unsafe and went on a global shopping spree.

Lu Xuan offered them Dongfeng-3 ballistic missiles, each costing one million US dollars to manufacture.

He sold them to the wealthy dog owner for the "friendship price" of 100 million US dollars apiece.

The wealthy dog owner was overjoyed, while the high-ranking leaders of the Rabbit Nation were left gaping in disbelief.

That year, the Acehnese people on Indonesia's island of Sumatra sought ethnic autonomy.

Lu Yuan found Hasan, the leader of the Free Aceh Movement.

"Heh, Hasan, my friend, you're thinking too small."

"Why not take over the entire island of Sumatra and establish a new country?"
