Journey to the West: This Monk Is Anything but Proper

A long-lived cultivator transmigrates one day with a System and becomes Tang Sanzang, the monk seeking the scriptures in the world of Journey to the West.

What does he want the scriptures for? To help Buddhism meet its performance targets?

Wu Huai plays along, starting a carefree life of mooching food and drink, with both a pig and a monkey for company.

Before the journey begins, Li Shimin laughs skyward in front of the Bodhisattva: “We agreed that once he leaves, you can't send him back!”

He thought Sun Wukong, who had once stormed the Hall of the Celestial Palace, was already invincible. He never expected someone to be even more audacious.

Smoking, drinking, and beautiful women: he doesn't neglect a thing.

After obtaining the scriptures, Wu Huai makes plans with Wukong.

“From now on, you be the Jade Emperor, and I'll be the Eternal Great Emperor!”
