The work follows the traditional chapter-style novel style, and is written in a literary style through reasonable fiction based on real people, events, poems, and time processes in history. Taking the legendary life experience of Xiao, the empress of Sui Yang Emperor in Chinese history, as a clue, it records a large number of historical stories such as the construction of the Grand Canal in the Sui Dynasty, the recovery of Taiwan, the opening of the Silk Road, the three conquests of Goguryeo, and the peasant uprising in the late Sui Dynasty.
