Legend of the Sword Ancestor

Heaven is dark, earth is yellow; the cosmos is vast and primeval! Zhurong and Gonggong, fire and water in eternal conflict, brought down Mount Buzhou! The goddess Nuwa refined five-colored stones to mend the sky, broke a giant turtle's legs to support the four corners of the world, slew a black dragon to save Jizhou, and piled up reed ash to stop the raging floods.

The sky was mended, the four corners restored, the floods dried up, Jizhou was at peace, the fierce beasts died, and the people thrived!

Moved by compassion for all living things, the creator goddess Nuwa created two beings: Yan, a man, and Xiao, a woman. In the Garden of Eden, they could not resist the serpent's temptation and ate the forbidden fruit, giving rise to the later Maba people. Their descendants named the place where the Maba people once lived Maba Valley!

Bodhi is not a tree, nor is the bright mirror a stand. The Buddha nature is ever pure and still. Where could any dust settle?

As the saying goes, all the affairs of past and present are left to laughter and conversation!
