The Six-Eared Macaque of Honghuang: Clear-Eyed in the Mortal World

A spirit monkey took form from an immortal stone born when heaven and earth were created.

He was called Six-Eared. He could understand everything people said, listen keenly, discern the truth, know what came before and after, and comprehend all things.

Zhuang Zhou dreamed he was a butterfly, and the butterfly dreamed it was Zhuang Zhou. After gaining memories from his dreams, he discovered that they matched the reality of the Primordial World.

So he began to make plans and steadily cultivate, determined to be a clear-headed little monkey.

If others left him alone, he would leave them in peace.

If anyone crossed him, he would wipe them out, root and branch!

In cultivation, he charged ahead against the current. In dealing with people, he said what people wanted to hear, and told demons what demons wanted to hear.

Using Flower-Fruit Mountain as his base and his dream memories as his guide, he seized the source of power, cultivated divine abilities from later ages, obtained innate treasures, and sought boundless merit.

The Three Teachings? Taiqing was detached from worldly affairs, Yuanshi was full of schemes, and Tongtian was isolated and without support.

The Western Teaching? Too many rules, no freedom.

During the calamity of the Lich War, he used his wit to keep one region safe.

During the Investiture of the Gods calamity, he planned everything from behind the scenes.

During the Journey to the West calamity, he controlled it all.

In the end, he attained the Dao and forged a legend.

He walked alongside the Three Pure Ones, admired the moon with Nuwa, and discussed the Dao with the Sages, living a carefree life.

He was the clearest-headed person in the entire Primordial World.
