Godfather of Hong Kong Island: Starting Out as a Ghost-Hunting Taoist

Xu Lang transmigrates to Hong Kong Island in the 1980s and becomes a Taoist priest at a temple.

He cultivates and levels up with the help of a System, but on the day he completes his cultivation, several members of a zombie film crew die mysteriously.

Lam Ching-ying comes to him as a disciple, begging for help, while the leader of the Seven Little Fortunes kneels to apologize.

In an emergency, Xu Lang steps in to save them. From then on, he leaves the temple and sets out to become the godfather of Hong Kong Island.

On the surface, he does charity, restores Taoist temples, builds hospitals, and donates schools, becoming the greatest philanthropist under heaven.

In reality, he opens banks, seizes land, cuts off energy supplies, and drinks human blood, ruling the region as a godfather.

Using exorcism, divination, and feng shui, he manipulates Hong Kong's entertainment industry at every turn and raises godsons and goddaughters.

He takes in illegal immigrants, forms a mercenary group, sweeps away the gangs, and takes on Hong Kong's four great families.

Years later, from the Korean Peninsula to Southeast Asia, thousands upon thousands of ancestral halls will enshrine an idol.

That idol is Xu Lang!
