Siheyuan: Working in Security, I Take Qin Huairu Hostage

Yang Chen is reborn in 1963 in the world of a Beijing courtyard compound, becoming a security department employee at the Red Star Steelworks.

In his previous life, he lent Qin Huairu ten yuan and never got it back. He was also beaten up by Silly Zhu, blamed by the Third Uncle, ostracized by the whole compound, and eventually took his own life.

In this life, he's going to get his revenge on these beasts.

As it happens, Qin Huairu is caught stealing white flour from the factory.

Yang Chen: "Qin Huairu, if I report this to the factory, do you think you'll still have a job?"

Silly Zhu is caught sneaking food from the kitchen home and locked up in the security department.

He Yushui pleads for him: "Brother Chen, we're neighbors. Please let my brother go!"

Yang Chen: "Yushui, I could let your brother go, but you..."

Jia Zhangshi is pregnant, and Yi Zhonghai asks Yang Chen not to tell anyone.

The next day, news that Yi Zhonghai and Jia Zhangshi are having a child spreads throughout the steelworks and all across the city of Beijing.
