What young boy doesn't long for adventure? What young man doesn't want to become a superhero? But time waits for no one, and life grows dull beneath the weight of responsibility. No wonder old dreams are forgotten. Welcome to Average Odds, where one man is dragged completely out of his comfort zone. Be careful what you wish for: you never know when it might come true. This story follows Daniel Newman as he adapts to a strange new world, where superpowers are for sale, heroism is frowned upon, and life keeps challenging his expectations. Dan always thought he was destined to be ordinary, but what is ordinary in one world might be extraordinary in another.
