Codename: South Heaven Gate Project

In 2030, the first-generation Nantianmen Project was officially launched.

Construction began on the first-generation Luan Bird, a large aerospace carrier, at a secret base somewhere in the Kunlun Mountains.

That same year, the first-generation Xuan Bird fighter and Chengying mecha began secret development at a laboratory somewhere in central China.

"Comrades, what is the purpose of our Nantianmen Project?"

"To prepare for a war, a... brutal war."

"The enemy is powerful, and their technology far surpasses ours. So what do we do?"

"That's right. We can only fight, fight for a future! No matter how great the sacrifice, we must create a peaceful future for our country and its people, and for generations to come!"

"If gods stand in our way, we kill the gods. If Buddhas stand in our way, we kill the Buddhas. Comrades... the future is in your hands."
